Thank you for supporting our first "Territorial @ Sonic Night" of the year!

TERRITORIAL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL FUNDRAISER
Territorial Elementary School has been selected to join four other schools to participate in Prescott Gateway Mall's Shopping Makes Cents fundraiser.  For each dollar spent at any retailer or restaurant at Prescott Gateway Mall between July 26 and August 31, 2010, Territorial will receive 5 points.  Based on the points accumulated Territorial could receive up to $1,500.  Check out the flyer for more details about this exciting event, and help support our terrific school!

7192010_21539_0.jpgWe at Territorial are pleased to announce that we have received
a $5,000.00 Grant for the Lowes Learning Garden Project:

A Serenity Garden/outdoor classroom will be established in the common area located in the middle of our school.  It will not only provide a refreshing change from the dirt, dirt and more dirt that our students have had to endure for ten years, but provide a tranquil setting our students can enjoy as they move from building to building.  Each grade level, K through grade 5 will have a location within the planter to plant and observe the flowers or crops they plant, harvest and replant.  Some classes may elect to plant radishes, carrots, leaf lettuce or marigolds and experiment with spring, summer and fall crops and flowers.  This will help them understand the seasonal cycle of plants in our area and climate zone.  The water feature will encourage birds and dragon flies.  The large cap located on the top of the planter area and tables will provide all grade levels with the opportunity to sit and engage in outside reading and story telling in a beautiful and tranquil setting during our spring and fall season.  These areas will provide a place of beauty and a feeling of well being.

Welcome to Territorial Elementary School
We try to make learning fun and interesting, while at the same time making sure that we teach all the important skills necessary to be successful throughout your educational years.  We use computer software to extend what has been taught in the classroom in what we call our Media/Tech Center.  It is in the Media/Tech Center that you will find the library books, which are available for the students to check out.
